When It Comes To Paint Finishes

 There is a fine line
between interesting
and hideous.
And I'm pretty sure
I've crossed it.

I see interesting, not hideous. :) But there's always another coat.

Hahahahaha! Been there...done that. I can't tell from that little picture which it is.

I hate it when you have a picture in your mind of exactly what you want, and you just know you can create it...then it doesn't turn out the way you pictured it. Sometimes, with a little more tweaking, those mistakes can turn into something fabulous!

It's interesting enough to want to see the rest of the piece. Come on, share!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so go with what you like- that's what I say! Suzanne, I have missed your last few posts- where in the mary jo hale have I been? HA HA
Love the new button(I took it) and love that collection of yellows and blues that you showed us. I collect nothing in particular, just lots of glassware- 2 full cabinets that I brought home from our furniture store in the spring. -plus what is in the closet in the study! Can you say obsession? LOL

Yes, you and me both.....got bookshelves drying in the garage as I type, wondering what kind of finish they'll end up with after I get wicked frustrated.....

Oh-yeah...I get it! May not look back to anyone else but you know the look you were going for...and apparently that's not it!>)

I did a crackle job one time that made me want to sue the paint manufacturer! Diana

Yes DO share the rest of the pic Suzanne.... :o) ! The beauty of working with paint is that you can keep going until you DO like it or sand it off & start afresh....!!

Cheers,
Tamarah :o)

When I paint, it NEVER turns out exactly how I pictured it in the beginning. Each coat of paint changes the way the final version looks in my head. And, yes, I've crossed that line MANY times!!
