No More Mice, Just Other Stuff

So. The best ever estate sale to date.
I couldn't go the first day, so I went the second. Which turned out to be good. Everything was half off!
I got these cute jars

This amazing oak cubby cabinet, now sans mouse.

I love the decal on it, and I have no idea where to put this piece. I'll make room. I also think I might have to paint the insides of the cubbies. Not the outside, and not the front. Just the inside. It doesn't sound fun, does it?

And now, for today's third piece. Can we all just take a moment to consider the irony? I mean, really.
Pinned Image
Just weeks after completing this project, I find something this amazing?
(I don't care who you are or how mad be your skilz, no one, I mean NO ONE can replicate the finish on this round whatever-it-is.)
I don't know what I'll do with this yet, either. But I'll do something.
And for the final cool thing I found.
(OK, that was a lie. There is more. I'll show you later this week. After I do some housekeeping. Like clean this floor)
See that little pin connected to the chain on the top there? I think that comes out. Thereby making this tripod eligible to become a lamp. Want to know the best part?
It has a twin.

Thanks for reading!

OMGOSH- How wonderful are THOSE finds!?! I LOVE that oak cubby piece and, although oak is not my favorite, this is beautiful OLD OAK and I love it! Were the tripods old camera stands or surveyor stands? AND you found two of them? Unbelievable! They remind me of your windmill piece.

The table is great-what a match to your piece. Are you gonna be ripping numbers off light poles for this one too? You know..to spell out your address and your birthdate? Just checkin....xo Diana

Suzanne you have a gift for finding great old character pieces, so jealous. Why don't they ever seem to come my way? You must have some patience and a keen eye. Great stuff.

That is so amazing and wonderful...I can't decide if I'm more in love with the tripod or the shelves.

Those tripods will make awesome lamps. And I like the mouse-free version of the cubbys!

Okay, that estate sale was as good as my cousins'. AWESOME stuff. That cubby thing, it will be easy to tape off the outside but for the front, just apply a heavy does of vaseline and then spray paint away, The paint won't stick to the vaseline and you can just wipe or peel it off. It'll be easy.

Can you see me turning green? Two? You found two of those fantastic surveyor things? I bow to you my friend. And you have fun painting just the inside of those cubbies. I love the big round whatever it is. No, you can't replicate that finish!

You're right! It might be the best estate sale yet! I still can't believe the round maybe once table thingy!!! If you find some cool numbers next time, I'll die!

How could that stuff possibly still be available on half-price day?!!! Those lamps are going to be awesome!

cool stuff! I say put some pretty paper in the back of the cubbies... you can change them out whenever you want. Just use some double stick tape. :)
another clock in your future?

Girl, you have the best eye for junk! 2 surveyer tripods? A pair? how lucky you are.
I giggled over the round top, it is totally ironic. Wonder if you'll be swapping out those numbers to the new piece? (not that the other isn't awesome as is, just thinking that's what I would be tempted to do)
Nowon painted the back of the cubbies, can you pop the back off, paint it and reattach? I'm sure you've already considered it but it's what I thought of immediately when you said you wanted to paint it. oh wait, you want to do the walls of the cubbies...well, if you mask off the front edges and paint from the back after you take the backerboard off, won't that be easier? Hey, just trying to help here, I'm known to take every shortcut there could possibly be!

How about some decorative paper in the cubbies rather than paint?
