I Love Decor Steals.

I really do.
They have some really cool things for sale sometimes.
(here's a link. Yesterday's steal was SO cute!)
Like this little galvanized chicken feeder.
Cute, right? And it's not all super shiny and fake looking.
(look at the handle on the lid. It looks rusty.)
It's just the right size for those little single use SOS pads.
So I hung it by the kitchen sink. But it would be great for cotton swabs, too.
And in other news...
I found this old oar at an estate sale. It was pretty much covered in mud and I couldn't really see what was underneath. It was only a dollar, so I brought it home thinking I'd paint it.
But then I washed it.
I kind of like how it looks the way it is. I may whitewash it later, but I don't want to cover up the wood completely.
It's going in the bathroom.

Have you found any thing good lately?

That's so cute, such a great idea! I like the oar as is, too.

From the size of your new container...its actually a holder for a box of wooden matches. I have several old ones...one actually holds matches near the woodburner and the other holds chalk and eraser for my huge chalkboard. It looks cute near the sink! Just thought you might want to know the original use!

I just discovered Decor Steals last month and I got the cutest pair of metal angel wings from them! Love your little feeder and your oar too:)

That's pretty cute, but no I haven't bought anything mention worthy lately. Not even groceries.

Fun finds!! I found a few little galvanized "cuties" similar to your feeder...but a little smaller than yours. I'm guessing mine were match stick holders?? But now you've got me thinking...I'd better go find them :) Thanks!! Laurel

I really like both finds. The oar has so much character just the way it is.

It's been a while since I've stopped by. And as I'm looking through your post all I keep saying is, "Suzanne always finds the Coolest Stuff." I'm always super jealous
