OK, Here It Is. The Truth.
I'm tired.
Of blogging.
(I know. How can I say that? Blogging is a joy, a creative outlet, the best hobby there is!)
But it's not you! It's me! Really!
You've all been so great.
(It's my fault.I wish I'd had the foresight to only blog once a week from the outset, but I didn't. It was every day. Then it was 4 times a week. Now it's more like three and I'm struggling with even that.)
So I'm sure this confession doesn't surprise a lot of you.
My tiredness is showing and it probably has for quite some time now.
So here's the deal.
I don't want to just quit. Because I do remember when blogging was so much fun and if I just quit, I'll most likely regret it.
I'm going to try posting once a week.
On Thursdays. Just to see if I can get some of my mojo back. To see if I can keep up that pace.
And who knows?
Maybe it will inch up to twice a week.
See you next week!

I know just where you're coming from, Suzanne. Blogging is very time consuming and I've found that in the two plus years I've been blogging, I've accomplished far less in my "real life" than ever before. I only publish a post once a week and if I've got nothing to say, I skip it all together. I work 3-5 days a week and I've found that blogging is not a working woman's hobby. There are not enough hours in the day to visit all the blogs I follow on a daily basis. I hope you get your blogging mojo back, but if not, I know you you are enjoying "life".
Suzanne so glad to hear you're not giving up. I do enjoy seeing your 'finds' and 'makes' and great photos of your surroundings. Please keep on sharing when the time is right. Here's to more mojo in 2013!
Here's to once a week! I will look forward to Thursdays. Cheers.
Looking forward to Thursdays! I have always wondered how people fit in all the blogging in their everyday life. What a commitment. I do enjoy your finds and projects immensely and your style of writing, but understand completely. Now you will have to quit thinking your are "supposed" to be blogging everyday, that may be your hardest hurdle.
Have fun!
When I began blogging, your blog was one of the first I would look at. I am glad you will be posting at least one time a week.
Hi Suzanne,
No need to apologize or do stress over your decision, it is your blog and we will follow you when ever you feel inspired!
Have a great week and just enjoy being you❤
I know exactly how you feel!!! I've been struggling so very much, over the past year, to keep up with blogland.. and failing miserably. Life got in the way, and now feel that I'm 'out of the current loop'. Been debating deleting mine... but just can't seem to do so. :/
I for one will be looking forward to Thursdays!
~Chris
Obviously even once a week has been a struggle for me lately ;-) And the longer I go without blogging...the harder it seems to be to want to start up again! I don't even READ blogs like I used to. So I understand where you're coming from. Glad if we still get to hear from you sometimes, and hoping it's just the January-blahs that have us all down a little!
oh how I wish I had something to blog about. I miss blogging, but mostly I miss the projects I can't do.
I say YOU do what you want/need to do. We'll be here each and every thursday, and any other day you pop in!
take care!!!

I hear ya.
I think its awesome suzanne! Even if it was once a month, as long as you're happy and content and still enjoying it, then I'm so happy for you! Does that sound weird? I always love your posts but would never want it to come at any expense to you. Happy rejuvinating, my sweet friend!
i had a really hard time coming back after my break and wanted to just quit. so now i am only posting a few times a week and will see how that goes- so far i feel much better! :) i'll still read, no matter when or how often.
Your blog has been one of my all time favorites. I always look forward to your finds and projects. I love your style of writing also. You need some you time and I truly hope you get plenty of it and find what you are looking for. Thanks for all of your amazing posts! I will be looking forward to Thursdays or just looking for you whenever you choose to post. This will give me a chance to catch up on all your past posts. I have only been a reader for the last several months. Happy relaxing!!!
I can totally relate!
I've been blogging for a few years now, and even had three blogs at one point (???). I merged two last year, but still feel tapped out. I've run dry.
I'm not a blogger who finds pretty pictures from around the web to link to (there's nothing wrong with that it simply isn't my thing), and if I have nothing constructive to share or to say, or a good picture to post, I just don't.
At one point I even found myself caught up in the whole 'how many followers do I have' trap, and that was stressing me out. I mean, who really cares? I had no illusions of ever being a high traffic blog. I mean sure, it would be nice if I could connect with like minded souls, but at the rate I've blogged over the past few months I've lost what few followers I did have. lol
And life is passing me by. As someone else here said, blogging is time consuming. I can spend hours on a post, which in turn, is causing me to miss out on day to day things. I'm not accomplishing the work I should be, or doing the things I want to be doing.
Good luck with cutting back on your posts. I hope it works well for you and that you enjoy the slower pace and extra hours in your day. :-)
I think it's great. You know I've had a hard time posting once a month lately. I'm going to try to post more often but never more than once a week; maybe 2-3 times per month. At first blogging is addicting and fun and then there's the pressure to keep it up and you have to work to find stuff to post about. Blogging should be fun and we should only post when we want...and not feel bad about it. I'll look forward to your posts and with less to read, maybe I'll be able to keep up with commenting :)
By the way, I see your recent pins. Is there another grandbaby in the future?
Take a break if you need to but don' leave us completely- You know you'd miss us- and we would miss you. I did notice that you had kinda stepped back a bit- Hang in there- see ya next week-xo Diana
I am right there with you and it sounds like a lot of others. I haven't blogged for months, and I read very few any more. So do what you have to! We will all survive without blogging! We did before! Thanks for all your posts! ~Sheri
Suzanne..... you don't have to post every day to be an inspiration to me. Great stuff is great stuff, so if I would of only seen that great stuff once a week, then I'd be back whenever the next post came. Don't even say "thursday". Just do it whenever the mood strikes 'ya.
Bliss
Looking forward to Thursdays! Love seeing all your cool projects. Hope you continue to share your inspiration with us.
I've seen a couple of post lately about people contemplating "slow blogging" focusing on fewer posts and blogging when they really feel it. I think it is a movement that will spread and save all of our sanity.
Everyone reaches that point. I know I have. We always enjoy your posts not matter when you post them.
You've given us all so much for so long --- YOU'RE MUCH APPRECIATED! Breaks from the norm is good and you certainly deserve it. Keep well and I too, will always enjoy your posts no matter when you post them (or not). Best to you!
totally get it...and it's okay - just do it when you feel like it...what would that hurt? it should be rewarding - not a chore! we'll be listening when you do post....so see you when we see you!! all the best!
