I Can't Ignore It Anymore

I've tried. Believe me.
At first, it was just a few little things.
Unsettling things, but nothing big.
But these little things~they kept adding up.
I didn't want to believe it.
I didn't want to think it could be real.
I guess I didn't want my life to change.
There would be a good day, and I'd think that everything was OK.
But now I know for certain that it's not OK,
and I have to pull on my big girl panties and deal with it.
It's winter.
And there's nothing I can do about it.

(Can we all please have a moment of silence for the snapdragons? They were far to young and beautiful to go out this way.)

Move to Texas! It's been in the 70's the past few days and will continue to be until Thursday when the weatherman says we will "plummet" down to the 40's and 50's. We love snow (because we get so little of it). I am sorry for your flowers.

Oh I hear you Suzanne! We are in the teens this morning but no snow yet. The wind is howling in off the bay and I have to go out but don't want to brave the wind. UGH! Poor baby snaps! Hugs-Diana

My boys would be happy with that sight. They are dying to see snow. We are going to have to take a family trip to a snowy place to have them get over it.

Wow, we don't have to deal with that until Dec, Jan. and Feb. Last year we had enough to last forever and it's hard to deal with it again but I'm sure we will get thur it:) Your poor snapdragons under all that snow!

Yes I know how you feel. We had snow yesterday. And I woke up this morning and it is still there. My outdoor therm. says 14 degrees. The neighbors pool is frozen. YUCK!
And in Seattle area, the news is on the weather all day. They make it into the storm of the century every time. I think I'll just put up a couple of Xmas deco's just for the fun of it. Have a great day.

I soooo hear ya. DREAD is filling my veins. Good thing we have a Florida/Disney vaca planned for the end of January or I know I'd never make it til spring....

Poor snapdragons...such a sad sight. :(

Beautiful post!
Our "winter" is still just dry and brown looking. I'm looking forward to some beautiful white stuff!

I totally understand about winter. After living for 10 years in Texas before moving back to Missouri, I learned what a mild winter is like!! I MISS IT!!! I like it when it snows but after a day I want it gone and warmer!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I feel the same way. I love Idaho, but the winters are a pain...the only bright side is here in the Boise area winter is a LOT milder than it is in my hometown!

Ohhhhhh poor babies! While we don't usually get much snow where I am, COLD, COLD tonight (about 20) so my flowers will certainly look pitiful soon. I think the only good thing about this time of year is rest---for the plants & we gardeners! Love reading your blog---thnx for all your fun sharing

I'm with you all the way. I'm trying to bloom where I was planted. But... Seriously? Colorado? The closest beach is a days drive at least-- more with 4 kids!? Ughhh.
