Fake Is OK. Sometimes.

Do you ever get tired
of waiting until you can find the authentic version
 of something you want?
So you cave and get a reproduction,
or an out right fake?
Really? Never?
Ummm, yeah.
Me,either.

(Seriously, this whole wall (you're only seeing half of it) is getting a makeover. Stay tuned!)

Ok...if that's a fake, I want to know how it was done! Cannot wait to see the whole wall.

I'm entirely that way. And I think it's just fine if you can't find exactly what you want.

Love it...now here's the question; did you make it?

I generally try to figure out how to do/get a fake first. It's only when I can't find a way to do that, that I splurge on the real thing.

Where did you find this? Am I going to have to drive north to get all this good stuff you keep coming up with?

Well, my green with envy is fitting for St. Patty's day at least.

Would you be willing to share your source for my "friend" who doesn't mind reproductions? ;) (My "friend" went to London for Study Abroad and is a total Anglophile now!)

I got that same one for my son's room Suzanne! But mine is a French one :) And I got my "fakey" for a steal :) I think I paid $48???

I don't know - either way really. Economics and availability play a big part in the decision. I have a few mass produced pieces of furniture and art in my home, a few home made pieces and a few authentic antiques. Just a mix. Looking forward to seeing the whole re-do. By the way, how is the milk can paint removing project going? i've been wondering.
