Estate Sale Stuff

I went to some estate sales the other day. They were those weird sales~some things were so overpriced it was ridiculous, and then other things were seriously under-priced.
Like this stack of dinner napkins. Natural linen. 16 of them.
Their original price tags said .75 each.
I paid $5.00 for all 16. And most of them were never used! Wouldn't they look cute with a monogram in the corner?
At another sale, I got these.
They were being used to prop up a board that was displaying shoes.
I asked the woman if they were for sale, and she didn't even hesitate. She moved the shoes and gave them to me. Want to know what I paid?
Are you sure?
A dollar each. I know! As I was about to drive away, doing my best not to cackle maniacally with glee, a man (a local funeral director, actually) stopped me.
"Mrs. Sheriff, you got a killer deal on those crates. I could take them down to Texas and get at least $25 each for them"
(I loved that an undertaker told me I got a "killer" deal!)
In other news stories, we finally get to use this awesome sign I won. Hilary from Sweet as June had a Ramsign giveaway months ago, and we waited until the porch was finished
before we put it up. I love how it looks!

Did you find anything good over the weekend?

Suzanne you sure ar eone lucky lady, those crates were a serious steal - let's hope that woman doesn't read blogs! And I agree, sometimes those 'estate' sales have astronomical prices for junky stuff that needs a lot of work.

You got amazing stuff, Suzanne! I did do some hunting this weekend too, took home an antique bed, it was a "steel".;)
A few other goodies. Some pretty french inspired linens for my Dog's Bed too, just a buck each. Love your crates, the fact that they're wood in such good condition with the metal make them so much more interesting too. And the placemats, superb!

Wow, a dollar a piece is awesome. Great for you! Love your napkins also. We use cloth napkins all of the time, so I love happening upon a deal like this.

Oh Suzanne you're killing me here! a dollar? OK -- two dollars. Deal of the century if you ask me. Love them. When I was a little girl that was my mom's favorite purveyor of dairy products. We never had Borden milk, always Lucerne. They are totally fabulous and SO is your new house number! And can I just way that I COVET dinner napkins. That's an awesome deal too. Am I just going to have to take a trip north to find some awesome bargains or what?
