I went to some estate sales the other day. They were those weird sales~some things were so overpriced it was ridiculous, and then other things were seriously under-priced.
Like this stack of dinner napkins. Natural linen. 16 of them.
Their original price tags said .75 each.
I paid $5.00 for all 16. And most of them were never used! Wouldn't they look cute with a monogram in the corner?
At another sale, I got these.
They were being used to prop up a board that was displaying shoes.
I asked the woman if they were for sale, and she didn't even hesitate. She moved the shoes and gave them to me. Want to know what I paid?
Are you sure?
A dollar each. I know! As I was about to drive away, doing my best not to cackle maniacally with glee, a man (a local funeral director, actually) stopped me.
"Mrs. Sheriff, you got a killer deal on those crates. I could take them down to Texas and get at least $25 each for them"
(I loved that an undertaker told me I got a "killer" deal!)
In other news stories, we finally get to use this awesome sign I won. Hilary from Sweet as June had a Ramsign giveaway months ago, and we waited until the porch was finished
before we put it up. I love how it looks!
Did you find anything good over the weekend?
