NUMBERS!!!

This big old pile o'poles made me very happy today.
Because they all had these numbers on them.
And now I smell like creosote, but I only need a few more!
They're surprisingly fragile. The five was easy to get off the pole, the four, not so much.
I tore a two clear in half, which was a big bummer, because I really need two's!
That and an eight.
 But I'm getting there!

Have a great weekend!

Who'd have thought finding downed poles would be so easy. Sending good thoughts that you get your 2s.

That is too funny! You are quite the scavenger! I think the little dings and dents in the numbers will make your clock much more interesting. Good detective work!

yay! this is going to look AMAZING. I can hardly wait. And I think the problem I was having adding comments has finally ended - something about a new version of html that was not compatible with the IE browser I am using. I had to download Google Chrome. So if anyone else is still having commenting problems on blogger blogs - GOOGLE CHROME seems to be a remedy. xo, Diane

I just knew that before this whole venture was over you would be sporting a pair of spiked shoes and climbing a pole. Make sure you wear jeans and not a skirt! xo Diana

You made me laugh Suzanne! I'm the crazy lady who drives around our county swiping all the old electric fencing insulators off the old broken down fences. I bet the farmers and ranchers laugh when they see me out there with the wire cutters.
Now you will have me looking for old tin numbers too.

haha!! Ok only you would just stumble across a big pile of poles with cool little numbers, exactly what you were looking for.

Actually I have the 3 I posted it here http://thewickerhouse.blogspot.com/2011/02/habitat-for-humanity-restore-finds.html I always just figured it was a vintage house number. If it was a 2 or 8 id give it to ya.

I just want you to know that you don't have me fooled! I know that you went sneaking in the middle of the night near some poles with a ladder. That pic of the poles cut down is just for show for certain "official". Wanna know how i know? You're too much like me!! Ha!!!!
