Ah bummer :( I don't know where to find a replacement....I'd check fleas and garage sales I suppose. Hobby Lobby?
I don't know if they will be as big but i seem to recall seeing some big ones at World Market or try a Home Goods/TJ Maxx store. Good Luck with finding a replacement!
Oh No! That is sad. I finally got a computer so I am back around visiting. Missed ya- xo Diana
Not sure of the size of it but I would try a search on Etsy or ebay for a large pickle jar or something similar. They come in all shapes and sizes. I'm putting a link below to an example. I hate when something like that happens to a piece I love. http://www.etsy.com/listing/117686227/browns-dill-pickles-glass-jar?ref=sr_gallery_15&ga_search_query=pickle+jar&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_vintage_rewrite=vintage+pickle+jar&ga_original_query=2&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=vintage
Ugh, I'm sorry that happened! I'm thinking World Market might be a good shot.
Sorry that happened to you. It's always the special ones that get broken isnt it? I would keep the handle from your broken jar and when you find one that is close enough ( I'm thinking pickle jar too) you paint the lid white and add the handle. It will look more like your beloved broken one.
Try this one: http://www.tgldirect.com/products/ball/ball-clear-glass-jar-and-lid-no-185-130-1-gallon-10-tall/529403670001/It's close but not exact.
R.I.P. glass jar. It has gone to the same glass heaven where many who came before have gone.Bliss
I will keep my out for one!
I got some large 2 quart bottles like this for canning at a hardware store.
